THE MAP^® of the Grand Canyons of La Jolla is the largest LithoMosaic in the world, depicting the bathymetry of La Jolla Canyon and over 100 marine species indigenous to our coastal waters.

THE MAP^® opened on October 19, 2020 in honor of Walter Munk’s enduring legacy of exploration and discovery.  The opening date was selected to commemorate what would have been Walter’s 103^rd birthday. THE MAP^® is the result of our community coming together to make this unique educational plaza a reality.
