THE MAP® of the Grand Canyons of La Jolla is the result of our community
coming together to make this unique educational plaza a reality.

THE MAP® of the Grand Canyons of La Jolla opened on October 19, 2020 in honor of Walter Munk’s enduring legacy of exploration and discovery.  The opening date was selected to commemorate what would have been Walter’s 103rd birthday. THE MAP®, now open to the public at Kellogg Park in La Jolla Shores, is the largest LithoMosaic in the world.
